Twilight

There is a new book series that is all the rage. Kind of like Harry Potter...LOVED HARRY POTTER!!! This series is by Stephenie Meyer, and the first book is Twilight. I finally broke down and bought the book. (One of my cheerleaders put her name on the waiting list in our school library--#44--and the public library--#66. I found it at the local Wal-Mart for $5.97. I bought two copies. One for me and one for her.) My paperback copy is 498 pages.

Isn't it amazing that kids who claim they hate to read are reading HUGE books?

I haven't started reading it yet, but several students have talked about it and several teachers at our school have read it or are reading it. Just like Harry Potter. And, just like Harry Potter, it is a new movie. Another cheerleader is attending the midnight viewing of the movie Thursday. I couldn't do that. (She has to be at school Friday or she can't participate in the cheerleader lock-in...see next post.)
