Car Rentals

OMG!!!! I was looking to visit some family over the Christmas holidays. I found a flight to a SUPER TINY airport an hour from their house for around $275 plus a $15 per bag each way fee. Then, I found a flight for exactly $200 to a VERY SMALL airport 3 hours away. This is the airport I usually fly into. I figured I could rent a car as I did this summer for about $150. HELLO!?!?!?!?!? Was I mistaken!!!!! When I went to book the rental car, the CHEAPEST I could find which is a huge rip-off was $584. Almost 3 TIMES the amount of the flight. I couldn't breathe I was so startled. What was really bad was I had already booked the flight! I panicked becuase I couldn't believe what an idiot I was.

I spoke with my mom today, and she said I should still be able to cancel the ticket because it was within 24 hours. I wasn't so sure since it was one of those "internet specials". Well, I called the airline and sure enough, a WONDERFUL person on the other end worked magic and was able to delete my reservation. YEAH WONDERFUL SALES PERSON!!!!!!!!!!

But here is the other kicker about this. As I was trying to breathe, I did a few more searches for car rentals. Those were even worse! I recieved great deals for $1,024. Who in their RIGHT mind would pay that for a car rental???????? I could drive across country for less than that!!!!
