Tonight I attended a Jazz Extravaganza at the local junior college. Two junior high schools, 2 high schools and the college jazz bands performed with professionals from Houston. The professionals held a clinic this afternoon with the individual bands, and then the performance was tonight.
These pro's have an amazing list of accomplishments--from performing at President George H. W. Bush's inaguaral ball to touring with Frankie Valli and performing with Winston Marsalis. And, our kids got to learn from them and perform with them! It was very exciting.
All of the groups did exceptional jobs. I'm so proud of our kiddos.
