Weekend

Let's talk about my weekend...
I left for the airport with what should have been enough time. However, for some reason, I encountered BAD traffic...who would have thought?? After standing in the security line for what seemed forever, I realized I had a long way to go!!! I was dropped off at terminal C but my flight left out of terminal E! I hurried along only to find the flight was overbooked. They were looking for 6 volunteers to leave on a later flight--MONDAY! I couldn't leave Monday....I had to be in Chicago on Saturday and back home Monday night. I stood in the airport watching as they closed the doors and my plane left without me. I stood in line for awhile before they moved us (there were 3 others in the same boat as me) to a different line. We waited there for a period of time before they moved us again! By the time someone actually spoke to me, I had been in a line for 3 hours!! The lady who helped me was very nice and helpful. I ended up flying into Milwaukee on Saturday.

I'm so thankful that I was able to finally meet my new friend, M. I've spoken with him on the phone since October, but had never met him. He is a great "friend" to my BFF T. I definitely see him as someone that will be a part of my life for a very long time. This is a good thing!
(M--thanks for EVERYTHING!!!! You went above and beyond to make this weekend great. I couldn't have asked for a better host--you so did NOT have to do what you did!!!!!)

T--I'm so glad I was able to be there for you on your special day. I wish the airline cooperated better! My only regret was not seeing your face when you figured out the surprise. I had such great hopes for that, and they were all dashed--one at a time. I'm glad you had a fabulous time!

After that great evening, I spent time with the family. To my sister M: THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything!!!! You are awesome!!! I had such a great time shopping and just hanging out with you and L and the "girls" A and A. I don't know how to thank you.

To my sister J: I feel like such a bad-luck charm! First M and then K. I hope M's arm heals properly and she doesn't have any side effects. I hope the doctors are able to diagnose K correctly--and quickly. Keep me posted!!!

To my sister B: It was great seeing you!!! I know that you had a rough week/weekend and worked a lot but made time to see me. Wish I could be there to see S when she comes in. That would have been so much fun!!!

To my nieces B and C: Your children are just precious!! I'm so glad I was able to spend time with them. I can't wait to come back for a longer visit!!!!

To everyone who was there: IT WAS A BLAST!!!!! I LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!!!!

To everyone who wasn't there: I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!!! NEXT TIME!!!!!
