Before I get on this subject, let's just say I boycotted last Saturday's "event."  Usually, I'm all about sending Valentine's etc.  However, this year I decided--NOPE!  Not recognizing it.  It's a HALLMARK holiday after all!
I am going to recognize today's holiday.  I don't ever remember celebrating President's Day as a child.  We either got George Washington's Birthday--February 22 or Abraham Lincoln's Birthday--February 12 off.  We never got both.  In my school district, they did wacky things.  For a while, it alternated--one year the 12th, the next teh 22nd.  Then, for a while it was just the 12th--since we lived in The Land of Lincoln.  When I moved to Texas, we didn't get either !
I think this is the first year I have been off of school for President's Day.  Crazy, right?
