It's Over!!!!

It's Over. Election '08. YEAH!!!! What a LONG election season it has been. What has traditionally started in January of the election year started almost 2 full years ahead of the big day.

I voted. Did you?

I'm happy. Are you?

No matter when you voted, no matter who you voted for--it's over. Now, we need to turn to the future. We have to remember that even if we were not in favor of Senator Barack Obama being our president, WE MUST RESPECT HIM. He is THE President of the United States. He is THE one in the White House. He WILL be making decisions. WE MUST RESPECT HIM.

I say this because I think that lack of respect is a NATIONAL DISEASE. Everyone--and, I mean EVERYONE--has been bashing our current commander-in-chief. There are many ways to show our displeasure with the man (and maybe someday the woman) who is in charge of our country--spoof, satire, etc. However, the American public has crossed the line and have attacked and lost all respect for George W. Bush. (He isn't even out of office yet, and we already have a controversial movie about him in theaters!!!!) Until we teach our children and fellow Americans how to respect our President, our country will not get better. Our civilization depends on this!
