Over

Baseball season is over for the Cubs. I'm ok with that. After all, it is just a game. There are much more important things in life than baseball.

There are...
...countless numbers of people who are homeless.
...thousands of people in the world fighting a war.
...people starving to death in the world.
...people fighting diseases that will eventually kill them.
...people losing their jobs (and homes) to a bad economy.

Those are issues that we should be upset about.

We should thank the Cubs for...

...giving us hope that they might win it all.
...giving us something to cheer for all summer.
...for taking our minds off the real world for a while. (It helped me when dealing with a hurricane!)
...for the joy they have provided to a city who refers to them as "The Lovable Losers."

See you next year, Men in Blue!
