The last few days....

Whew! They are over! THANK YOU!!!!! Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were a blur. I worked late on Wednesday trying to get some work caught up...it didn't happen. I didn't get home until around 10:00 because I was out shopping after I left work around 7:45. (I had to get some props for our pep rally and pictures from the dance last week.) When I got home, I was able to connect to the internet, but not get my email. My password was incorrect. HMMMMM....how can I log onto the computer but not the email when the passwords are the same because they are both with the same ISP????? I found out Thursday. As I was headed back to get more props for the pep rally, I called the ISP. They told me my account had not been paid for three months. HOW IN THE WORLD DID THAT HAPPEN???? I HAVE IT SET UP TO MAKE AN AUTOMATIC DRAFT FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT!!!! The (VERY RUDE) man on the other end of the phone said my bank was blocking the charge. I asked why it took three months for them to notify me about this. (They never even contacted me until they blocked me!) We went round and round, and he told me to contact my bank. When I did, the (VERY NICE) lady said the only way for this to happen was for me to ask for it to be blocked. Now, WHY WOULD I DO THAT????? I called the guy back and we went round and round again. He kept interrupting me and didn't want to answer my questions. I almost hung up on him. Finally, everything was resolved. YEAH!!!

I stayed at work late again on Thursday--and then went to the choir concert. It was great! It featured 5 different schools from elementary to high school. I still had to type up certificates for all the kids who had perfect attendance for the first six-weeks of school. I figured I could do that at home without any problems. YEAH, RIGHT!!! The version of Microsoft Word that I have at home is a newer version than what I have at school. I couldn't get the mail merge to work correctly. So, I gave up, set my alarm for extra early and went to bed.

Friday started off just as bad. I woke up very tired and not wanting to get up. I finally did, got ready and walked out the door. About 10 blocks away, I realized I'd forgotten my medicine--for the second time this week. I turned around, took it and headed out again. What a waste of about 12 minutes--the exact same time it takes me to get to work. When I get there, I start typing frantically. I go to print and the printer starts acting up. By the time I finish typing all of the names--about 400 of them--the printer will only let me feed the paper in one sheet at a time. UGH! Then, I have to cut them in half, sort them and distribute them to the correct academic team. Then, I have to teach! During my planning time, I create little "can" people to represent our award winners and the theme at the same time. Then, came the pep rally. BOY-OH-BOY!!!

Our pep rallies are VERY draining on a person. Our kids did great!!! I didn't get home until late last night and didn't feel like blogging....like I haven't felt like doing for a few days now.

Today, I attended a wedding. I work with the bride's mom...it was beautiful. Now, I'm off to see a band at a local establishment. Some of the band members are friends of a friend. No drinking for me....Unless it is water!

See you tomorrow!
